Camp Wilderness 2010

13 Scouts and 4 adults (and Serena!) from Troop 656 camped at Camp Wilderness last week. We were the first session for the year, and it was an active one. We stayed at the Fox campsite, which is close to the main buildings, and also has the Fox Building classroom on the site, too. Oddly, none of our Scouts took any waterfront or fishing classes, which was OK because the weather was not very cooperative. I rained multiple times during camp, and on Thursday, at the time when Wadena was hit by a tornado, we had been evacuated to the Nature building, which was the third evacuation for the day. I was quite proud of our Scouts when they took it upon themselves and just about spontaneously started cleaning the Nature building following the departure of the rest of the troops. They received some special recognition during the closing campfire for this act. A special thank-you to our adult leaders who spent the week at camp: Faye, Ennet, and Bryan, - and thanks to Ron and Allan for for helping to drive. Here are some of the videos of camp:
