Feed My Starving Children Event in Hawley a tremendous success

Hawley Scouts provided assistance with logistics, planning, and cleanup of the Feed My Starving Children mobile packing event which took place April 29-May 1. Scouts assisted in the movement of tables from the community building, with the setup of tables, lots of different jobs during the event, clean up, recycling, and lots of things in between. Scout parents, of course, were also there to assist, and even provided their time as skilled labor - such as Ron Aakre who ran the forklift!
I worked with Colin for a while on the pallet packing - basically the final step as the food is loaded on the truck. There's an interesting way that he showed me how to strap the pallets, and conceptually I can understand, but really, I don't know what we were doing. Thanks Colin!
